Fresh trout fillets are dry cured with our recipe of salt and sugar. Curing has been used for thousands of years and not only preserves the fish but enhances the flavour and texture. Our master smokers fire our kilns with wood shavings, then slowly and gently smoke the fillets.

This product is Kosher certified by the Manchester Beth Din.

Serving Notes

This product is ready to consume without cooking. Remove from pack ten minutes before serving to release the full flavour of our Smoked Scottish Trout. Return any remaining product to chilled storage immediately. Smoked trout is so versatile. How about a luxury brunch of smoked trout and scrambled eggs or as part of a dinner time sharing platter along with your favourite seafood. Leftovers can be used for a homemade pâté with lemon juice and crème fraîche.

Although every care has been taken to remove all bones some may remain.

Storage

Store in a refrigerator at 0°C to 4°C. If frozen, store between -18°C and -25°C C. Defrost this product in a refrigerator. Consume within 3 days of opening. Do not exceed the use by date.
