Loch Fyne Oysters Ltd is based at Cairndow, at the head of Loch Fyne on the West Coast of Scotland.  From this stunning location we have been supplying our customers with Scotland's finest fish and seafood for over 40 years.  From our internationally renowned Oyster Bar Restaurant and through the products we sell globally, we pride ourselves on provenance, quality and sustainability.

We are in the envious position where we can enjoy all the great outdoors has to offer; beautiful beaches, views, walks, wildlife and outdoor sports, as well as not being far from Dunoon, Helensburgh, Dumbarton and Glasgow, to enjoy the benefits of a large town or city. 

Our team at Cairndow fulfill a wide variety of roles from processing staff to our restaurant and retail team, along with administration and sales.  We employ over 120 people and have developed strong links with the local communities. There is flexibility within the work place to move between roles and departments.

  • Job Title: CUSTOMER SERVICES ASSISTANT
  • Contract Type: Permanent.
  • Salary: Competitive.   
  • Contracted Hours: Full time hours, based on 40 hours per week.   
  • Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm.   
  • Other Info: Occasional weekend working, as and when required.

Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to join our busy CUSTOMER SERVICES TEAM. 

The successful applicant will need to have the following core skills:

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively, with good organisational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail; with accurate numeracy and data processing skills.
  • Competent computer/IT skills, including Microsoft Office; Word and Excel.

The role involves a variety of responsibilities including:

  • Processing customer orders (including standing orders) accurately and efficiently, managing daily sales requirements and shortages.
  • Maintaining and updating call lists.
  • Issuing pricing notifications for designated accounts.
  • Delivering daily/weekly sales and ad-hoc reports accurately and on time.
  • Following through and resolving customer complaints and enquiries.
  • Providing weekly sales/performance commentary to the Customer Services Team and Key Account Managers.
  • Processing new account applications.
  • Notifying the relevant departments in advance where customer freight schedules are outwith the standard.
  • Optimising all opportunities for additional sales and new products.

  • Rate of Pay: £10.05 per hour.   
  • Overtime: Paid at x1.5 basic rate of pay for hours worked over 40 hours per week.
  • Contracted Hours: Full time hours, based on 40 hours per week.   
  • PART TIME HOURS / OTHER SHIFT PATTERNS ALSO AVAILABLE - PLEASE ENQUIRE.
  • Example Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 7.45am to 4.45pm / Friday 7.45am to 1.45pm.
