Located on the breathtaking west coast of Scotland at Clachan, Cairndow, Loch Fyne Oysters Ltd is proud to call one of the country’s most stunning landscapes home. From this beautiful setting we have been supplying our customers with the finest fish and seafood for over 45 years.  From our internationally renowned Oyster Bar Restaurant and through the products we sell globally, we pride ourselves on provenance, quality and sustainability.

We are in the envious position where we can enjoy all the great outdoors has to offer; beautiful beaches, views, walks, wildlife and outdoor sports, as well as not being far from Dunoon, Helensburgh, Dumbarton and Glasgow, to enjoy the benefits of a large town or city. 

Our team at Cairndow fulfil a wide variety of roles from our restaurant and retail teams, along with administration, sales and support functions.  As well as our site in Argyll, we also have Aquaculture sites located on the Isle of Lewis and Cumbria.

  • Job Title: CHEF DE PARTIE (Oyster Bar Restaurant).
  • Pay Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience.
  • Additional: Customer tips are shared between the Restaurant Team.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Taking ownership of your section, preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard.
  • Working with fresh, local fish and seafood every day.
  • Maintaining a smooth service.
  • Ensuring excellent food quality, presentation and consistency.
  • Keeping food safety and hygiene standards high.
  • Contributing to menu development and seasonal specials.
  • Supporting your team and contributing to a positive kitchen culture.

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie.
  • Confident working with fish and seafood.

Love the buzz of a busy restaurant? ... We’re looking for a reliable, hard-working KITCHEN PORTER to join our KITCHEN TEAM. This is a vital role that keeps our kitchen running smoothly, ensuring our chefs have everything they need to deliver great food. If you like staying active and being part of a friendly, fun and fast-paced team then you’ll love working with us.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, safe and organised.
  • Washing pots, pans, dishes and equipment.
  • Accepting, checking and storing deliveries.
  • Completing temperature monitoring as required.
  • Emptying bins, recycling and general cleaning tasks.
  • Helping the chefs with simple prep when needed.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Someone dependable and enthusiastic.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • A team player with a positive attitude.
  • Experience is great, but not essential – training will be provided.

Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and and self-motivated person to join our MORECAMBE BAY OYSTER FARM TEAM, to assist with the day to day operation of the Oyster Farm at our site in Ulverston, Cumbria. The successful applicant will be able to work well within a small, focused team. The role will involve working outside on the beach, as well as inside the Oyster Farm's Centre. Previous aqauaculture experience is not required as full training will be provided.
