Loch Fyne Oysters Ltd is based at Cairndow, at the head of Loch Fyne on the West Coast of Scotland.

From this stunning location we have been supplying our customers with Scotland's finest fish and seafood for over 40 years.  From our internationally renowned Oyster Bar Restaurant and through the products we sell globally, we pride ourselves on provenance, quality and sustainability.

Our team at Cairndow fulfill a wide variety of roles from processing staff to restaurant and retail staff, along with administration and sales.  We employ over 125 people and have developed strong links with the local communities. There is flexibility within the work place to move between roles and departments.

WAITING STAFF
Working with our Front of House Team in our award-winning Oyster Bar Restaurant

  • Contract Type: Temporary - Seasonal.
  • Rate of Pay: £7.85 per hour (subject to change from April 2019)
  • Working Hours: Variable hours, with evening and weekend working required. 
  • Other Info: Due to the shifts, our location and limited public transport, your own transport is essential. Car share is available from/to Glasgow, Helensburgh, Dumbarton.

Job Description:

We are looking for customer focused people, with a friendly, outgoing nature to join our Front of House Restaurant Team.

The successful candidates need to have excellent customer service and communication skills, have a cheeful and positive manner, be able to work well as part of a team, plus the ability to work in a busy restaurant environment. Previous experience in a hospitality or catering role is preferred.

Duties include: taking customer orders, serving food/drink, clearing and resetting tables, cash handling and dealing with customers.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Food Hygiene cerification would be advantageous.
  • Staff Working in Scottish Licenced Premises certification would also be beneficial.
  • Further development will be provided.

DELI ASSISTANTS
Working with our Delicatessen Team

Job Description:

We are looking for enthusiastic, customer focused individuals to join our DelicatessenTeam.

The successful candidates need to have a positive and friendly personality, excellent customer service and communication skills, the ability to influence and advise customers on our products, plus be able to work well as part of a busy team. Previous experience in a retail or catering role would be preferred, however training will be provided.

Duties include: interacting with and advising customers, providing information and suggestions on our products, cash handling, stock rotation and replenishment, food, beverage and product preparation for takeaway, promotional tastings, assisting with the deli displays and keeping the deli clean and tidy.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Food Hygiene cerification would be advantageous.
  • Staff Working in Scottish Licenced Premises certification would also be beneficial.
