A Taste of Loch Fyne
Our carefully crafted Loch Fyne experience day is both a gastronomic delight and a sensory feast. As you journey to our home here in Argyll, behold spectacular scenery, breath-taking mountains, stunning woodlands and the magnificent natural beauty of Loch Fyne.
The day commences with a tour of our first Oyster and Mussel Farm, established in the 1970’s. Learn about the skilled jobs of oyster farming and mussel rearing from the experts and choose your own oysters.
Next stop Ardkinglas House, set in delightful woodland gardens which house the “Mightiest Conifer in Europe”. After a tour of this architectural jewel and home of our founder, you will enjoy an oyster opening and tasting session washed down with Joseph Perrier champagne, the perfect accompaniment to our oysters.
A five course lunch at the iconic Loch Fyne Oyster Bar awaits your return. Relax within sophisticated surroundings while our culinary team whip up an exquisite feast using only the finest seafood. Sample a selection of shellfish fresh from the loch and our luxury range of salmon, smoked on the premises using artisanal methods and wood chips from retired whisky casks.
