Alec's room,Cairndow

The latest addition to the Oyster Bar at Cairndow is Alec’s room. A light airy dining area with fantastic views over the loch. This area is used either as part of the main restaurant or as a private area for meetings, parties, and a whole variety of events including wedding receptions. It holds between 40 and 60 people depending on the layout.

The room can be hired during most week days and at weekends during the winter months. A variety of catering packages are available from full meals to buffets to just tea and coffee.

The room is named after Alec Gordon, who used the part of the farm building that the room is located in as a Carpet warehouse for many years. Alec was a good neighbour and friend and though he passed away a few years ago we know he would appreciate the use of his name for such a convivial room.

The room also has its own decked area so that you can take advantage of the good west coast air when the weather allows.

The décor is simple and includes a collection of china oysters plates that belonged to our founder, the late Johnny Noble.
