Whisky Marinated Smoked Salmon

 

We are proud to announce a delicious new addition to the Loch Fyne range. Our new whisky marinated smoked salmon combines delicious smoked salmon with specially selected 21 year old malt whisky from our neighbours at Glengoyne. The 21 year old has a smooth, well balanced flavour which perfectly compliments our smoked salmon to create a distinctive, subtle taste.

How we make it:

• Freedom Food salmon
Loch Fyne Oysters pioneered the use of ‘Freedom Food’ salmon in its Argyllshire smokehouse. This RSPCA accreditation means our salmon are reared to produce a fish that is consistently judged superior in taste, quality and colour.

• Hand Filleted
Using traditional methods developed over the centuries in Scotland, our salmon is hand-filleted and cured in a mixture of sea salt and organic sugar before it is marinated in Glengoyne single malt whisky.

• Only the purest water
After filleting, our salmon is hand rinsed in fresh highland spring water from the hills of Glen Fyne, refreshing the fish before the smoking process begins.

• Unique smoking methods
Our whisky marinated smoked salmon is delicately smoked for ten hours using oak wood shavings from retired whisky casks to add smoky overtones.

• Specially selected malt whisky
Glengoyne 21 year old is a premium single malt scotch whisky which has been produced at Glengoyne distillery in the Highlands of Scotland since 1833.

Our whisky marinated smoked salmon comes in two pack sizes, a 200g and a 1-1.5kg sliced side.
